Praying the Psalms: Music for Psalm 19

As we continue in the season of Lent, our worship also continues focusing on the Psalms and how they can help teach us what it means to pray, and how to pray. The Psalms, of course, were not originally written to be read, but to be sung--and so, each week I'm posting a couple of sung versions of our Psalm for that Sunday for you to listen to in advance of worship, or during the week following as you continue to try praying this Psalm in your own daily life.

This week's Psalm is Psalm 19. Here are three versions of different parts of the Psalm.

Praying the Psalms: Music for Psalm 22

As we continue in the season of Lent, our worship focuses on the Psalms and how they can help teach us what it means to pray, and how to pray. The Psalms, of course, were not originally written to be read, but to be sung--and so, each week I'm trying to remember to post a couple of sung versions of our Psalm for that Sunday for you to listen to in advance of worship, or during the week following as you continue to try praying this Psalm in your own daily life.

This week's Psalm is a particularly challenging one: Psalm 22. Here are a couple of versions for you to listen to by The Psalms Project.

Praying the Psalms: Music for Psalm 25

As we are now in the season of Lent, our worship in this season will focus on the Psalms and how they can help teach us what it means to pray, and how to pray. The Psalms, of course, were not originally written to be read, but to be sung--and so, each week I'm going to try to remember to post a couple of sung versions (if I can find them) of our Psalm for that Sunday for you to listen to in advance of worship, or during the week following as you continue to try praying this Psalm in your own daily life.

So without further adieu, two versions of Psalm 25:

"My Hope is You" by Third Day (this is the song I talk about in my sermon that made this Psalm significant in my life when I was a teenager/young adult):https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=85XmMoYlTPU

And a new version I have  just become acquainted with: Psalm 25 (Show Me Your Ways) by The Psalm Project: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HjVoPBuBRj8
